This project was created as part of Photography II subject on my second year on the Audiovisual Communication Degree in ESMAD, and was developed over a semester.
I knew I wanted to create something the reminded me of The Haunting of Hillhouse series from Netflix. I watched that show and I loved the depiction of the ghost-like inhabitants from that house, and I wanted to recreate that feeling but with spaces I often walked by in Vila do Conde, the city where I studied then.
Those places must have had stories, people, that will never be told, and so I wanted to create a fictional universe of those houses and their inhabitants missing their human parts, and therefore not being able to communicate.
I wanted to pass that feeling, not of something scary of fearfull, but of something weird and alien to its surroundings.
